Day 2Embracing Parisian culture

Today I head to the artistic neighbourhood of Montmartre. Wandering its picturesque streets, I meet street artists at work and take in sweeping views of the city from the steps of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Next comes a local bakery for fresh croissants and pastries, then the busy Marché d'Aligre, full of fresh produce, cheeses and local specialities.

Day 3Iconic landmarks and romantic moments

No visit to Paris is complete without its symbol, the Eiffel Tower. I go up for panoramic views of the city and a few memorable photos. In the afternoon I venture outside the city to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, exploring its lavish rooms and strolling through its beautifully kept gardens. Back in the city as the sun sets, I watch the tower's sparkling lights, a truly romantic end to the day.

Day 4Art and beauty

Paris, day 4 of Daisy's trip

I dedicate today to art. I start at the Centre Pompidou, a modern art museum known for its unique architecture and an inspiring collection of contemporary art. Next is the charming Musée Rodin, with its sculptures in a serene garden. I end the day at the Musée d'Orsay, housed in a former railway station, where Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works by Monet and Van Gogh are truly remarkable.

Day 5Hidden gems

For my last day I explore some hidden gems. I start along the Canal Saint-Martin, a picturesque waterway lined with cafés and boutiques. Then I visit the Piscine Pontoise, an art deco swimming pool with real character. I end my Parisian adventure at Père Lachaise Cemetery, wandering its peaceful paths and paying my respects to famous figures buried there, such as Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison.

As my journey through Paris comes to an end, I feel grateful for the unforgettable experiences and memories. Paris truly lives up to its reputation as the City of Love and Light, a perfect mix of history, art and romance.
